Chia Seeds
Chia seeds are among the healthiest foods on the planet. They are small black seeds that come from the plant Salvia Hispanica that grows in South America. They were an important part of the Aztec and Mayan diet back in the day. Today they have been rediscovered and are now a popular choice for people who want to stay healthy or loose weight.
The seeds are extremely nutritious and help people to loose when incorporated into their diet as they have very low calories and have massive amounts of nutrients. They are high in fiber, antioxidants, fatty acids, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous and protein. High protein intake reduces appetite and has been found to reduce obsessive thoughts about food by 60% and the desire for night time snacking by 50%. Therefore it is an excellent food source to add into your diet whether you are trying to be health conscious or loose some weight to improve your fitness.
